What is SDS?

The Student Direct Stream (SDS), which is introduced in June 08th, 2018, provides a streamlined study application process for international students who are willing to enter into their program of study at an eligible post-secondary Designated Learning Institute. Earlier we had SPP program which has almost 47 educational institution including only colleges in the list. Whereas new SDS system has increased the numbers of DLI (Approx. 780+) which has colleges as well as universities too in it.

Why SDS?
  • Faster Visa Process (with no extra cost). The processing time will be 45 days or less
  • Least documentation
  • No need to show bank balance, IT returns, property or any other related documents
Eligibility for SDS
  • 50% or equivalent in 12th standard (Higher Secondary Studies)
  • 55% or equivalent in Bachelors (Post-Secondary studies)
  • A qualifying IELTS score of 6.0 bands in each skills and overall 6.0 bands

Canada Student Visa under Regular Stream (Non-SDS)

The students who do not meet the eligibility criteria of SDS process, they can apply for study permit under regular stream.

Eligibility for Regular Stream
  • 50% or equivalent in 12th standard (Higher Secondary Studies)
  • 50% or equivalent in Bachelors (Post-Secondary studies)
  • A qualifying IELTS score of 5.5 bands in Maximum 2 Skills
Visa process and documentation under Regular Stream
  • Visa under regular stream will be processed within the current 60 days service standard.
  • Applicant need to show Bank Balance, IT returns, property documents or related documents for further assessment

Academic Eligibility for Admission :
  • Diploma's / Adv. Diploma : 55 to 60 % in HSC +IELTS Minimum 6.0 Band
  • PG Diploma's : 55 to 65 % in Bachelor +IELTS Minimum 6.5 Band
  • Bachelor: 60 to 70 % in HSC +IELTS Minimum 6.5 Band
  • Master: 65 to 95 % in Bachelor + IELTS Minimum 6.5 Band
